CURT SWAN MODEL SHEET
(1967)

In 1967, artist Curt Swan drew up a black-and-white model sheet of the 18 Legionnaires at the time (excepting Supergirl and Superboy, who had his own style sheet). This pre-dated the re-admission of Dream Girl, and subsequent members after that.

The sheets were colored for DC Comics usage, such as on the back cover of AMAZING WORLD OF DC COMICS 9. Click on the image for a bigger version.

   Head shots from the sheet were also used for banners on various reprints of ADVENTURE COMICS stories in the 70s.

   What would Swan's model sheets look like for the rest of the 60s Legionnaires? Legion fan Jim Gallagher made a custom model sheet based on Swan's style.
